The Oromia Health Buareau is delighted to announce a call for abstracts for the 3rd Annual Health International Research Conference on Enhancing Mental Health Care and Equity: The Next Frontier in Universal Health Coverage. The research conference will be held on October 6–8, 2025, with Ali Birra Foundation and its collaborators.

RESEARCH AND TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER
This directorate coordinates health-related research activities, facilitates partnerships among academic institutions, health professionals, and stakeholders, and ensures that research findings are translated into policies, strategies, and practices. It also promotes the adoption of proven technologies and innovations that enhance health service delivery, disease prevention, and system efficiency.

Through its work, the directorate fosters a culture of evidence-based decision-making and supports the development of local solutions to local health challenges. By bridging the gap between research and practice, the bureau ensures that new knowledge is effectively transformed into a public health impact.

About 160 research proposal were reviewed and given approval for researcher
Majority of the researchers submitted and reviewed were Research done by 2nd degree 123(77%)
From the reviewed paper fourteen (14) were research done by PHD
23 Project proposal are reviewed
Concept Notes On Operational Research
4 research concept notes were prepared by OHB
15 Research concept notes prepared with Regional Labs
3 of the proposal were selected be funded by the region
4 Grand themes with 10 Research topic on Malaria prevention were prepared
10 research topics were under external review
