• To improve health facilities services with sustainably supply and quality assured life-saving blood, essential medicines, medical supplies, and equipment by continuously implementing reforms, upgrading systems, and improving collaboration among stakeholders/ partners.

Role and Responsibilities

• Procure and store pharmaceuticals for emergency management and medical devices Health Facilities 
• Monitor pharmaceutical and medical devices budget, ensure adequate funds for procurement of essential pharmaceuticals at Health Facilities and pharmaceutical availability 
•  Build the capacity of health facilities, and blood banks in the areas of Pharmacy Services,  pharmaceuticals supply, Medical Devices, and Blood & blood products management, through the provision of technical and material support, 
•  Undertake supportive supervision in health facilities, Blood banks ensure the rational use of pharmaceuticals supply, Medical Devices, and Blood & blood products
•  Monitor and evaluate the performance of the logistics system and provide feedback to health facilities, Blood banks, and/or Zonal Health Departments 
•  Enforce policies, guidelines,s and reforms related to pharmaceutical logistics, medical devices, and Blood & blood products management
